Are you burdened by the weight of unresolved trauma or PTSD? Are you yearning for a sense of inner calm and resilience? Or perhaps you find yourself in a struggling relationship, longing for improved communication and connection? What hurdles are you facing on your path to healing and growth? Let Lotus Therapy Services be your guide as you embark on a transformative journey toward a more fulfilling and harmonious life.
My name is Kamla Dadral, and I am a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist specialising in trauma and PTSD, working with couples and individuals online and face to face from my London based private practice. My work is informed by various theoretical models which include humanistic, relational, attachment and creative frameworks.
Having trained as an Advanced Integrative Psychotherapist at Regent’s College in London, qualifying in 2012, I recognise that everyone has a unique way of dealing with trauma and seeking help. This led to broadening my approach with further trainings to include an Advanced Diploma in Traumatology and PTSD and Integrating Creative Interventions, both of which have been invaluable in encouraging any silenced parts by using tools such as Core Needs in Family Cards / Feeling Cards / Roles in Family Cards, stories, metaphors and drawing.
I also see the importance of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy) and value the additional dimension that using AI EMDR (Attachment Informed) and IFS (Internal Family Systems - parts work) lens, brings to my work. Each has helped to enhance my understanding, conceptualisation and directed the focus of my clinical practice. I believe in finding the right therapeutic language, tailored to your needs, that simultaneously speaks to, and allows you to see life through a different lens. Our work will be collaborative and personalised to your specific needs, in a way that helps you navigate the best way forward.
I can help with a wide range of issues, such as relationships, children, family, intergenerational and transgenerational trauma issues, trauma, PTSD, health and serious illness, work and related stressors, death, violent or sudden loss of loved ones, impact of financial issues, veterans of war, reality of climate change, sudden change in circumstances or the general stressors in life which often leave us feeling vulnerable.
Above all else, it is crucial to consider the current issues that trouble you, regardless of any medical diagnosis or label you might have received. These concerns could be related to past experiences, present circumstances, or fears about their potential impact on your future.

Coming to therapy allows you to explore what lies beneath the problems in your life. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction problems, or something more specific like a bereavement, trauma based therapy helps you to start joining the dots from your past. Making these connections allows you to live with greater understanding, peace and satisfaction.
I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner world, particularly when dealing with trauma and PTSD. I will work collaboratively with you to identify the root causes of your distress and develop effective coping strategies. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based techniques, we aim to empower you to heal, regain control over your life, and cultivate resilience to face the challenges ahead.
Couples therapy provides a nurturing environment where partners can openly address and navigate the complexities of their relationship. I facilitate effective communication using a relational approach to promote understanding, and help couples rebuild trust. Whether you're facing conflicts, intimacy issues, or communication breakdowns, my goal is to support you in cultivating healthier dynamics, fostering deeper connections, and creating a more fulfilling partnership.
At times there can be a need for intensive self care following changes in life, challenging events, limited time or the opportunity has arisen to work on your psychological well being. Whatever the reason, Intensive Therapy for individuals or couples is designed to provide longer sessions, frequently over a shorter period of time to accelerate your therapeutic journey and is tailored to your specific needs. By identifying your goals and sharing helpful tools for change and practice, intensive therapy provides a powerful and effective opportunity to respond intentionally, experience lasting change and feel empowered.
Walk & Talk Therapy is simply taking therapy out of the Therapy Room. If you struggle to relax in the confines of a small space, particularly post Covid, or find it difficult to engage in traditional Face to Face or Online therapy, Walk therapy provides a positive alternative. You may find it easier to engage in an outdoor space where difficult feelings can feel less intense, more manageable and easier to explore. While this is not an exercise session, the combination of walking and talking provides physical and psychological benefits. Time, date and meeting place will be mutually agreed with safety and confidentiality being of the utmost importance at all times.
Lotus Therapy offers individual and group supervision for a comprehensive approach to professional development and growth for therapists and counsellors. It provides a space for reflection, guidance, and exploration of therapeutic techniques and strategies. Through a collaborative and supportive relationship, integrative supervision helps practitioners enhance their clinical skills to deepen self-awareness and ensure ethical practice which ultimately leads to improved client outcomes and personal professional fulfilment.
